Safety

The Explosion Generator is safe and harmless.

These two aspects have been given major importance during the development of the Explosion Generator. During the production, quality checks are carried out , including hydrostatic pressure test. The Explosion Generator is CE-certified as a pressure equipment assembly Cat. II according the European Pressure Equipment Directive PED.

Important safety aspects are:

• All parts and components are constructed explosion resistant
• Installation of gas distribution according local guidelines
• The mixing of the explosive gas is only carried out in the pressure resistant Explosion Generator
• The PLC controller surveys the important process data and stops the Explosion Generator, if a deviation from setting values occurs. Additionally, an alarm is triggered.
• The operation is fully automated; there is no need for operation or actions by the operating crew
• Prior to each explosion the alarm horn is blown and a flashing light is operated.

Experiences from cleaning with controlled gas explosions („Bang&Clean“ process of Kesselreinigung Rueegg), which are also valid for the Explosion Generator:

• No danger to create leaks in boiler tubes by controlled gas explosions
• The exlosive mixture is only produced immediately before the explosion
• No use, transport and storage of explosives (Dynamite)
