The newsletter will be sent to the e-mail address you provided when registering online. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via a link at the end of the newsletter.

c) When using our contact form

If you use our contact form to send us an enquiry, the details you enter on the form, including the contact details entered, will be stored by us for the purpose of dealing with your enquiry and in case any follow-up questions arise. We do not share this data without your permission.
We collect the following data for the use of the contact form:

– name
– e-mail address

The processing of the data you enter on the contact form takes place exclusively on the basis of your granted consent. You may revoke your consent at any time. We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until such time as you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, in particular those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected.

d) Comment function on this website

In addition to your comment, the comment function on this page stores information about the time the comment was created, your e-mail address and your chosen username. The comments and associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the content commented upon has been completely deleted or the comments are required to be removed for legal reasons (defamatory comments, etc.).
The following data is collected for the purposes of using the comment function:

– name
– e-mail address

Transfer of personal data to third parties

Cookies are alphanumerical information files that your web browser automatically stores on your computer’s hard drive when you visit our websites. By setting cookies, no data is transmitted to us. For example, we use cookies to determine preferences for country and language selection. Most internet browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer, or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. Disabling cookies may prevent you from using all the features of our website.

Web analytical services

For the purpose of demand-oriented design and continuous optimisation of our pages, we use the Google Analytics web analysis service. In the course of this, anonymised user profiles are created and cookies are used, resulting in information about your use of this website, such as:

– browser type/version;

– host name of accessing computer (IP address);

– the time of the server request;

– geo-segmentation;

– language;

– time zone;

We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the purposes of establishing, drafting or modifying the legal relationship with us (master data). This takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfil a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract. We collect, process and use your personal data about the use of our website (usage data) only to the extent required to enable you to access our service or to invoice you for the same.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data that is transmitted or how it will be used by LinkedIn.

Further information on data protection and the XING Share button can be found in the XING privacy notice at: https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection.

5. Analytical Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service. This is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website to be made. The personal data generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the US.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. Your IP address will be truncated by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior its to transmission to the United States. The full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there only in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activity and to provide the website operator with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address provided by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, we wish to point out that by doing so, you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies regarding your website use (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Objecting to the collection of data

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set; this will prevent your data from being collected when you visit this website in the future: Disable Google Analytics.

More information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy notice: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Contractual data processing

We have entered into a contract with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the features of Google Analytics Remarketing combined with the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and DoubleClick. This is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A.

This function enables the target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to be linked with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This allows advertising to be displayed on one device (such as a tablet or computer) based on your personal interests that have been identified from your previous usage and surfing behaviour on other devices (e.g. your mobile phone).

Once you have given your corresponding consent, Google will associate your web and app browsing history with your Google Account for this purpose. In this way, any device that signs in to your Google Account can display the same personalised promotional messaging.

To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create cross-device ad targeting.

You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating personalised advertising in your Google account; for this purpose, go to the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The aggregation of the data collected in your Google Account data is based solely on your consent, which you may give or withdraw from Google (per Art. 6 para. 1 lit.a GDPR). For data collection operations not amalgamated with your Google Account (for example, because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to the amalgamation), the collection of data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in anonymous analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google’s privacy notice under: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an advert served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google AdWords advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an AdWords advertiser. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted into conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, advertisers do not obtain any information that can be used to identify users personally. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can opt out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. In doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

“Conversion cookies” are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the use of cookies and you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions, or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when your browser closes. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

We use MailChimp to analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent by MailChimp, a file included in the e-mail (called a web beacon) connects to the MailChimp servers in the United States. This allows us to determine if a newsletter message has been opened and which links you click on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to a specific recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of our newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to your interests.

If you do not wish your usage of the newsletter to be analysed by MailChimp, you will have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link to do so in every newsletter we send. Furthermore, you can also inform us by e-mail that you do not wish to receive any more newsletters in the future.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit.a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until such time as you cancel your subscription, when said data will be deleted from our servers and those of MailChimp. Data stored by us for other purposes shall remain unaffected by this.

Further details can be found in the privacy policy of MailChimp at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.
